Description
At the office of Dr. Victor Siegel, new patients are seen by the doctor first. A comprehensive evaluation and detailed consultation will give Dr. Siegel a chance to get to know his new patient, understand their concerns and oral health needs, and build a long-lasting relationship. Dr. Siegel's patients appreciate that he listens to them and takes the time to understand their dental conditions.

I think what makes our office a little bit different than other offices is the experience the patient gets when they first come into the practice as a new patient. By that I mean, in our office, I see the patient first, and I take about an hour with the new patient to get to know them, find out the reasons why they're coming to see me, and get to know them as a person.
Then we'll go into a very detailed clinical exam that involves head and neck, and oral cancer screening, periodontal evaluation, a set of radiographs, and a tooth by tooth charting of their mouth so that I really become familiar with their oral condition and can recommend the appropriate treatment.
Initially, it can take about an hour. There's a patient interview and getting all the necessary data. In subsequent visits, it can be a little shorter, because we have a charting tool, preexisting restorations that we can work with.
Well, I say the biggest benefit to patients is the confidence that they have in knowing that someone has listened to them. Listened to what their concerns are, and has taken the time to look through all the different systems in their mouth to know that they're being treated for conditions they may not normally know that they have.
